BASF and Yara held a groundbreaking ceremony for their brownfield ammonia plant at Freeport, TX, yesterday – less than six months after announcing their decision to invest $600 million in the project.

Their announcement held no new news, apart from updated estimates of job creation. But it did come with some nice corporate photos.

The mystery to me is: why is some dirt brown, and some dirt white?
